Coral Bay Harbour
Coral Bay is rightly famous for having two of the nicest beaches in Paphos, but it also plays host to a small harbour. Let's go take a look...
Corallia Bay Beach
We begin our adventure at Corallia Beach. I have come here today to make a film. It is less known than its neighbour, Coray Bay Beach. However, to a lot of people, it is the better of the two.
All Mod Cons
It certainly has decent showers and toilets.
Handy Kiosk
There is also a decent kiosk with lots of drinks and beach paraphernalia.
Sandy Shore
Like Coral Bay Beach, there is a lots of decent sand here. Sandcastles are definitely doable, if you have children, or feel young at heart.
A legacy of COVID is that the sunbeds aren't packed tightly together. Long may this continue.
Sunbeds Optional
Throughout Cyprus it is usually€2.50 for a sunbed and €2.50 for an umbrella. They aren't compulsory though. You can just bring a towel. These days, we aren't fussed about lying in the sun, so we normally tend to arrive with just our snorkelling equipment and a towel. What is essential, as far as we are concerned, is decent footwear. You can buy beach shoes in a lot of kiosks, and they only cost a few euros. When the sand heats up you will definitely need something on your feet, and it is also advisable to protect your feet when you go in the water.
I say this from experience. A few years ago I was swimming in the sea off the coast of Cornwall, and trod on a weever fish. I do not intend standing on another one.
Ever.
I don't know if Cyprus has the Weever fish, and frankly, I don't care. I am never going barefoot in the sea again!
