The Xeros River Flows!
Presumably, before they built the dam, the river Xeros flowed along this path. So it should come as no surprise that when the dam overflows, there is a ready-made riverbed waiting for it.
The reservoir last overflowed 7 years ago, and you can see that in the meantime, vegetation has tried to gain a foothold.
Extra Reservoirs
People have built these dams next to the overflow river, to contain some of the escaping water.
Reflections!
These supplementary reservoirs provide excellent photo opportunities. There is less wind down here, so you can get some stunning reflections off the calmer waters. It was just a shame that there was so much cloud cover. I shall have to return when there are a few, white fluffy clouds. They will look a lot nicer.
Funny Building
Does anybody know what that building is? It looks very odd indeed.
Artificial Waterfall
This is a nice are for a picnic, though the bees might want to join you.
