Winter Wonderland 2020

Ski Boarders Welcome!

I saw an equal mix of skiers and ski boarders. I have never tried the latter, but I was a terrible skateboarder so have no wish to have a go. I have been skiing in the distant past, but I am quite fond of my limbs so am happy to stick to a sledge.

On The Piste

We came during the week, to avoid the crowds, so it wasn't too busy.

To The Toboggan Run

We want to go this way, which is to the left of the drag lift.

Wetarse Hill

This is the toboggan run. It is a decent sized slope, and if you go from the top you will be going at a very fast speed indeed as you hurl into the safety net at the bottom. So you might want to start from half way up until you feel comfortable.

Novel Approach

This man had a novel approach I hadn't considered before. The plastic sheets seen in the first picture result in a cold, wet arse. This is hardly surprising. I would imagine that this ring would leave your posterior high and dry. Food for thought before our next visit.

Yesterday (Saturday 5th Jan) we took our annual visit to the Troodos, for fun in the snow. It was really cold so if you are planning a visit wrap up warm, and don't forget a carrot for your snowman. Also, check first, because according to the latest news (Sunday 6th Jan @4PM), the roads are now closed...

Troodos Winter Wonderland

Thanks to the Troodos Webcam we were able to see that it had been snowing in the hills, so we packed our jumpers and headed off for some winter fun.
