Cyprus Snow
Coffee Shop

I am using two sources for this article. The side shots like this were taken by Alex. The road shots are from the film I made. I include a link at the end, if you haven't seen it yet.

Anyway, because there are two sources, they might be slightly out of sync. I don't know, for instance, if this shot was taken before the one below. If it is out of sequence, please forgive me.
Pano Panagia

During normal weather, Pano Panagia is a great place to visit. There is quite a lot to see both here and in the surrounding countryside. For instance, just off the main road is a monument to Archbishop Makarios III , as this was his birthplace. He was the first President of Independent Cyprus, from 1959 until his death in 1977. If you explore Cyprus you will find a number of monuments to him, and roads named after him.
The Local COOP

Incidentally if you are thinking of visiting the area, stock up on petrol first. I think the nearest petrol station is the one between Polemi and Stroumpi.
Nature Trail

Later in the year I shall feature this nature trail. It is a stonking great walk with some of the best views in Cyprus at the summit.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
