Always On My Mind...

When I was growing up, I remember a "jobbing stew" my Mum used to make, when she didn't have much time. It was fairly bland and none of us really looked forward to it. One night, she surprised us all, by serving the same stew, but this time she had stuck it in the oven and put a puff-pastry lid on it. This made all the difference, and the mundane stew was immediately transformed into a delicious pie.
Up To Tsada

After months of mundane blue skies, it is nice to have my own pie crust to move the quality of the pictures up a notch or two. Not only that, but it means that some other projects I have put on hold can now move forward. A few years ago I did a virtual tour of the Old Town and made a website of it. Since then I've got a better camera and I have been meaning to reshoot it and update the site.
Mesa Chorio

I did some trial shots and they were ok, but the skies were all really, really boring. A few clouds work wonders for a scene, and helps reduce lens flare. So I am looking forward to getting some more shots in.
Towards Archangel Michael's Hospice

I'm in Mesa Chorios now, heading down the hill towards the ISOP. From there I will head to the B7, navigate the roadworks then finally get to Lidl.
Lidl Carpark View

I made it to Lidl. The fun part at the moment is getting back up to Polemi again. The roadworks are causing big diversions at the moment. Our favoured route is to head back towards the centre of Paphos and take the left turn directly in front of Bionic. Then turn left at the T Junction and you are on your way.
I did contemplate photographing some more clouds on the way back, but the ladies wanted their bread rolls so you will have to make do with these shots.

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
