A Blustery Day At Limni Pier
Long Exposure

While I was making my film, Alex was playing around with her camera. She was trying out some long exposures. She didn't like the results but I did, so I am using a few of them here.

A Familiar View

During rough seas you can still walk to the end if you are careful, or so I thought. The secret is to wait in the dry bits for the wave to pass.
Gates Closed

I didn't go to the end on this occasion, because the gates had been shut. Instead I stood here and got buffeted by very strong winds as I shouted into my action camera.
A Good Soaking

I misjudged my timing at one point and got completely soaked here. It was quite refreshing actually!
Distant Pomos

The route back was pretty uneventful. Bear in mind though, that the end of the pier (the top of the T) has no railing. So if you are thinking of opening the gate and going to end, please think again. The wind was incredibly gusty, and getting blown into the sea would be no laughing matter.
You may think it a silly warning, but people recently had to be airlifted to safety because they tried crossing a river in a car that was flowing too much, and got washed downstream. Some people seem to think they are invincible. They aren't, and have to be saved at the expense of the rest of us.
