Lizards abound in Cyprus, as do snakes. If you see a black snake, don't hurt it! They are the good guys. Treat all snakes with respect though, as some of them are poisonous. If you are really lucky, you will get to see a chameleon. It is impossible to capture their walk in a photograph, but when you see it, you will never forget it.
