Following our recent trip to Pomos we thought it would be nice to present all the full reservoirs we have visited in one blog. We will concentrate on the ones you haven't seen yet, so start at Pomos Reservoir and work our way back to Paphos.

The Pomos Coast

Pomos is quite a trip from Paphos, but it is most definitely worth it. We were up that way to visit some abandoned villages and overflowing reservoirs this week, but stopped to take in the coast along the way. The countryside up there is breathtaking, and well worth a visit. Here's a short selection of what to expect.

Phone scammers pretending to be Cyta technicians have been tricking users into installing malware and asking for credit card details, warned the telecommunications authority warned on Wednesday.

According to Cyta, subscribers have been receiving unexpected overseas calls from scammers acting on behalf of the company as technicians and offering help with safety issues.

New and electric car-buying incentives available from February 4

A two-fold government incentive plan to get older, less energy-efficient cars off the roads and promote the use of electric cars will kick off on February 4.

The first scheme offers incentives to buy new cars, the second offers incentives to buy electric cars.

Health Ministry unveils plan of action in event of coronavirus case

The Health Services have drawn up a plan of action should a coronavirus case be reported in Cyprus.

The Health Ministry statement follows the announcement of the first confirmed cases in Europe and the issue of  a travel advisory by the Foreign Ministry.

The plan of action includes the following:

Woman tied and robbed in her own home in Paphos

Police are looking for the whereabouts of a man who robbed a 31-year-old woman in Paphos on Saturday after hitting her and tying her up.

The woman reported that someone had knocked on her apartment’s door at around 10.30pm on Saturday, and when she opened she saw a man she didn’t know, who, forced himself into the house.
