Aphrodite's Trail
Parting Shot

It is nice to see the chapel getting repaired. I do hope that when the repair work is complete, they will put up a sign telling you the history of the little building.

Back On The Road Again

Anyway, that is enough of a diversion. We've got a hill to climb, so get back to that junction and take the other path upwards.
Beautiful Views

Now some questions were being answered. At the start of the trail, I had wondered as to which direction was the official way. I had also seen comments saying that it was better doing the trail in reverse because the views were better. What I hadn't seen were any actual Aphrodite's Trail signs, until a few pictures ago that is. I commented on the odd placement of that sign, but at the time I was assuming I was walking the trail the official way. However, given how amazing the view is when you do the trail in this direction, I think it is safe to assume that I am in fact, showing you the reverse way. In that case, the sign we saw is positioned perfectly, as it will be visible to anybody coming down the hill on this path to the main road.
Child's Play

The path up the hill is rocky but easily navigable. Indeed, we stopped to let a family with small children skip past us. We watched as they playfully bounced over the rocks and tried to disguise our own coughs and splutters.
Up We Go

It isn't a race though, so ascend at your own pace and enjoy the scenery as you do so.
