All Change At Oniro
Oniro Restaurant can be found on the coast of Peyia, between Coral Bay and Cap St George. It is right next to the wreck of the Edro III. Or at least, it used to be. Now all that remains is a pile of rubble. What is going on? We went to see for ourselves...
Coast Road

If you drive from Coral Bay to Cap St George via the scenic route - the one which takes you past Coral Bay and Corallia Beaches - you will soon come across this sign, pointing to Oniro Restaurant. If you are looking left you will also have noticed the wreck of the Edro III.
There is also a sign pointing to an Ice Cream Parlour. It would be rude not to mention that as well.
From Above

In days gone by (and not many, it has to be said) this shot would have included a lovely restaurant, nestled in the trees. Now all you can see there is rubble.
Ice Cream Parlour

Before we get to the main event I feel it prudent to point out that the Ice Cream Parlour is still standing. They aren't open at the moment though.
Once And Future Restaurant

And this is the entrance to the restaurant itself. We only found out it had been knocked down when the subject popped up on our website forum.
The Culprit

In the Oniro Car Park there is some industrial machinery which just reeks of destruction.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
