Park of Colours Opening In Weeks
View From Behind Paps
Walking behind Paps, I could see that work had progressed since my last report a few months ago. I don't know how many more weeks of work there are left, but the latest press report said it was "weeks away" rather than "months away".
Kid's Playground
I had to wait before I took this shot as a mother was showing her toddler the new park. There is at least one small child dying to have a go!
Windmill
I can't wait to have a walk around this when it is finished. If it is anything like the artist's impression it will be amazing.

According to the floorplan, this area will also become part of the park. At the moment though, it is serving another purpose.
Secret Shortcut
Yes, currently you can drive across it and out the other end. Go straight ahead, then turn left when you come to a T Junction, and it will take you to the road that runs up to Lidl and the B7.
After the excellent park I recently saw in Geroskipou I have high hopes that the Park of Colours will be a great place too. We will bring you more information on it when we have it.

Last year work started on a new park in Paphos. The Park of Colours is nearly complete, and will be opening within weeks. There was an announcement in the press about this yesterday, and coincidently enough, I was in the area and saw for myself what progress had been made.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
