Cyprus In Pictures - July, 2026
We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how July has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Alexander The Great
We will begin our look at July with a nice bird-eye view of the lovely Alexander The Great Hotel. We were lucky enough to be given a guided tour of this lovely resort. We were very impressed with what we saw, and the food was delicious. You can see our report here:
Venus Beach
There were disturbing reports this year of microplastics appearing in the waters along the Cyprus Coast. This was actually a slight misnomer, as most microplastics are too small to be seen. There was definitely an increase in plastic debris though, which seemed to reach a peak after stormy weather. On one day we visited all the beaches, but didn't see much, thanks mainly due to the hard work of the local workers who were out cleaning up the shoreline. You can see our report here:
Beautiful Harbour
Temperatures began to heat up with a vengance in July. Poor Henry had an eye infection too, so had to stay in the shade as much as possible.
Blue Skies
Tourists began to arrive in greater number too. You don't see them out and about much in the day, but if you visit the Sea Front at night there are a lot of people around.
Lovely Roundabout
The roundabout by Kings Avenue Mall is very pretty.
