The Reservoirs Are Full

Published 27th of January, 2020

Following our recent trip to Pomos we thought it would be nice to present all the full reservoirs we have visited in one blog. We will concentrate on the ones you haven't seen yet, so start at Pomos Reservoir and work our way back to Paphos.

Pomos Reservoir

Pomos Reservoir is nestled in Paphos Forest. A pleasant drive from the coast leads you to it, and continues through the forest towards the mufflons at Stavros Tis Psokas. I wouldn't recommend going that far without a 4x4 though, especially in the winter. Nevertheless, if you drive to the other end of the reservoir you will find a nice little church, complete with several picnic benches. So this would be a perfect place to visit in the summer if you wanted to escape the midday heat.

Damn Fine View

I promise this it the last time I will make the "damn fine view" joke. But here is Pomos Reservoir, overflowing.

Water's Edge

This had a slightly different design from the others we have seen. I wonder what logic is used when it comes to the placement of the overflow?

On The Boardwalk

Unfortunately, this was padlocked, so we couldn't walk up to the dam itself.

Pretty Location

This is a beautiful reservoir, and on a calm, windless day you must be able to take some stunning reflection shots.
