I was expecting to see some murals. Lots of churches have murals in Cyprus. But this place is covered in them! It's beautiful!

The Ceiling

And remember: this is a village church in the middle of the island. This isn't a big cathedral, or a tourist venue. So where do we start, when everywhere looks so nice? That's easy, we looked up.

Votive Candle Holder

This is a very elegant candle holder. Votive candles are lit to accompany prayers. You will find them in all Cypriot churches and a lot of the roadside shrines.

To The Walls

There won't be much commentary for the rest of the blog. I'm afraid I don't know what all the pictures depict. I will do my best to interpret them, but really, just enjoy them for what they are. We will start by looking at the left hand side of the church.
