Polis Seaside Stroll
Interesting Engine

There was also an old engine on display. What was it used for? Who knows? The Romantic in me would like to think that this was once used to pull the trains that ran along Limni Pier when it was operational. You may recall from previous articles, that the railway line itself lies in the sea now, not far from here. So it is not too much of a stretch to imagine that the engine made its way here.

Mystery Rock

I found this in the rocks near the pitch. I wonder what it was there for? It wasn't one of the usual numbers that get scrawled near water features by Government Inspectors.
Old Pill Box

Next to the pitch there was an old Military Pill Box. I can call it a Pill Box because it has a roof. I know this because the last time I called something a Pill Box somebody pointed out to me that a Pill Box has to have a roof.
Nice Roof

A few years ago I would have fought my way through the weeds here to photograph the inside of the little structure. It would have inevitably smelled of wee. Now though, I am content to present you with this teaser. If you are that bothered about the internals, go and take a look for yourself!
Strange Wood

As I walked along the top of the beach I could see I was approaching what looked like a small jetty.
