Polis Beaches - Part 3
Other Beaches

As well as the main Pomos Beach, there is this little stretch on the opposite side of the harbour. You will also get a fair number of swimmers here.

Pebbly Solitude

Also, if you take the road behind the restaurant, and any of a number of bumpy tracks, you will find yourself on this stretch of coast. The outcrop of rocks you can see in the distance is the edge of the main Pomos Beach above.
Whichever of these beaches you choose to visit, you will find the water inviting and the atmosphere very relaxing.

So, we shall now leave Pomos and head towards Polis. The first few miles of our journey offers up some spectacular scenery but little in the way of beaches owing to the rocky coastline. So sit back and enjoy the view.
Koulla's Sandwich Bar

While you are enjoying the view (and it really is beautiful) you will come across this place. Koulla's is a sandwich bar with a reputation for delicious sandwiches and a great location.
Better Than The Telly

So if you want to eat a sandwich while looking at this view, you know where to come.

Pomos is quite a trip from Paphos, but it is most definitely worth it. We were up that way to visit some abandoned villages and overflowing reservoirs this week, but stopped to take in the coast along the way. Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
