Paphos Seafront Kataklysmos Celebrations
Monday is Kataklysmos, and Paphos Sea Front is having its annual festival. Why not wander down later and check out the stalls? This is what it is like...
Harbour View

The other day I went for a wander around the Harbour area, to see how the work was progressing. It turns out that the Kataklysmos Market had arrived at the Sea Front, so I extended my walk, and this article, to take that in. You can also see last year's report on the Paphos Kataklysmos Celebrations here.
Missing Statue

We shall start up by the castle and walk through the restaurant area to the Kataklysmos Kiosks. The first thing I noticed was that the statue by the castle was no longer in place. Has it been removed for safe keeping while the renovation work is underway?
DaVinci's

Next up, the new cafe in the building next to the castle has taken shape. It appears to be an Ice Cream parlour.
New Doors

One of the things I was on the lookout for were some doors. The Mayor had mentioned these on social media. They are lovely wooden doors that have replaced the old metal ones. They certainly look better.
Mystery Circle

I saw this mysterious ring from above, while flying the drone, and wondered what it was. Up close, I can now see that it is a little track for radio-controlled boats. If you look carefully you can just see a boat mounted on the wordwork to the right of the lighthouse. Now that's a blast from the past!
