Paphos Old Town Market Has A New Roof!
First impressions are it is nice and cool here, so the shade obviously does work. I seem to recall there were big fans in the original market. Perhaps the ventilated roof renders these unnecessary. I guess time will tell...

If you are wondering what the market is like, I would say it is designed mainly with the tourist in mind. That being said, there is a wide variety of goods on offer. We shall start with some of the sort of gifts you will also find in the shops on the Sea Front.
There are also leather goods and bags. The belts were reasonably priced too. I seem to recall they were just over a fiver.
There were lots of bags and other fashion accessories in the corridors of the market. However, if you go into some of the attached shops you will find a lot more.
Where's Lilo?
This was somewhat bizarre. In amongst all the bags there was a row of Stitch (of Lilo and Stitch fame, though I appreciate not everybody will have heard of them) characters. I wonder if he (?) is a similar phenomenon to the pink panthers that appear in numerous fetes and carnivals.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
