Paphos Old Town hub
Paphos Life is now in its ninth year. In that time we have brought you over 700 articles and thousands of films. So many in fact that it is hard to keep track of them. So we will be producing a series of hubs which group content to make it easier to find. This is the Old Paphos hub. Within these pages you will find, in date order, links to all the articles and a lot of the films that concern the Old Town. It is fascinating seeing how the area has changed since 2017. So dip in and enjoy...
Old Town Scenery

Paphos, and Old Town, is changing. For the better, we think, and we have been documenting the changes since the end of 2016. Take this mural, for instance. In 2015 a neglected little square in Old Paphos was transformed when it played host to the Street Art Square Festival. The result was several amazing works of art.

Now, that same Square has been completely transformed. The murals have gone and walls knocked down. In their place you will find a lovely Children's Play Area.
We don't condemn the transformation at all. We merely record it. However, it has become apparent to us that we have recorded so much of it that it gets difficult to find anything. With that in mind, we have set up this article, to act as a central hub. Within it, you will find links to most of the Old Town content we have produced over the years. So have fun exploring!

Old Paphos Revisited

June 28th, 2017
Six months ago we posted a blog optimistically titled "A Last Look at Old Old Paphos". It proved very popular. In fact, with nearly 3000 views, it is our most popular blog to date. Six months down the line, the renovations are still not yet complete. So we thought we would take another look, to see how the work was progressing.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
