Paphos Old Town In 2026 - Part 2
All Change
So how much has this alley changed? Well, let's go back in time again...
Refugee
Not that long ago there was a largish building here. It was demolished and replaced with a garden. You can sit in it, and it is rather nice. You can also see how the buildings on the right have been improved.
Fishy Business
Anyway, I'm back on the ring road now, but I won't be here for long. Once I've passed this Fish Restaurant I will be turning left back towards the Square again.
Work In Progress
The renovation of Old Town is still ongoing. Next to the Fish Tavern is a courtyard which in previous articles I have used as an example to show what Old Town used to look like. Well, they are improving it now.
Sushi Mash
Wolt Drivers are everywhere in Paphos now. I presume the situation is the same in other cities and countries too. It does puzzle me when I see people moaning about the cost of living. It is hardly surprising things are expensive if we artificially add layers between the consumer and what they want to purchase. Each layer adds to the cost, no matter how the companies involved will try to swing it. I fully understand that there is a definite need for such services, especially among the elderly and disabled, but if you are worried about how much things are costing, then the first thing you should do is remove all the middle men.
