Paphos Museum March Update
They are building a new museum in the city, dedicated to the Documentation of Paphos. This is a LOT more interesting than it sounds and will cover the complete history of the City of Paphos. It will also feature some amazing outdoor walking areas and gardens. The other day we went down to see how they were progressing...
Kennedy Square Car Park

In case you are unaware of where the new museum is located, it is opposite Kennedy Square behind the fountain. As well as the Old Police Station, the museum will encompass the area between the school and the Armenian Genocide Memorial Garden. One feature will be a raised walkway which spans the main Kennedy Square Car Park. I mention this because that is where I started my wander today. Here you can see the walkway being constructed.
Coming Along

It's a completely different style to the one down by Kings Avenue Mall. Nobody could confuse this with a roller coaster.
Waveform

If you still haven't got your bearings, this is the start of the B7, just next to Kennedy Square, looking up towards the main Paps Roundabout. You can see the superb mural Waveform, by Bane & Pest here.
Going Up

We had our drone with us too. The Armenian Genocide Memorial Garden is in the top left of the picture.
The Whole Site

This shows the entire site. Don't worry, we will soon get a closer look though.

Kennedy Square Renovations Update - September 2024
You may recall that the Old Police Station in Kennedy Square is being renovated. It will eventually become the Paphos Historical Documentation Centre. This sounds a bit dry but it refers to the Historical Past of Paphos, rather than piles of old documents. There will also be lovely gardens and walkways. It is now September and the project isn't due to be completed until mid next year, but we thought we would let the drone give you an idea as to how they are progressing...Good Pages To Visit

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
