Paphos Harbour In December
There have been a lot of changes down at the Seafront and Harbour during the course of the year, but as 2023 draws to a close the majority of the work has been completed. So lets see how it is looking and what still needs to be done.
Harbour View

We begin our tour where we finished our last article, which was a look at Paphos Seafront. From here we are going to walk through the Harbour to the car park behind it.
Fishermen's Chinwag

There are a fair number of fishermen about at the moment, though they seem to be more interested in chatting than fishing.

Those plant pots are proving very popular, and are well maintained.

Anyway, lets head up to the restaurants. It is about 10AM so there won't be many people around yet.

The walkway between Paphos Castle and the Lighthouse Beach reopened a few weeks ago, but they are still doing some work at the Harbour end. This morning we popped down to see how they were getting in, and got a nice surprise.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
