Pantheon Hall - Part 2: The Big Bang Theory.
Staff Quarters

Beyond the slightly suspicious chambers, there is a staircase leading to the staff quarters.

Home Comforts

The staff quarters were perfectly reasonable, and had a nice little courtyard as well as locker rooms, showers and a number of bedrooms. It looked like a mid-range hotel.

If you want to see more of the staff quarters, take a look at our virtual tour. There are over 100 locations, and it has a handy menu so you can select where you want to visit easily.
Back In The Day

That's the end of the tour. We will leave you with a shot of what the place looked like before it fell into disrepair.
If you like urban exploring, take a look at our dedicated page. You will find more examples, though we have plenty more to add yet.
The Hall Today (well, last week)
As well as our main tour, we returned last week with our new 360 camera. We will be using this to offer virtual tours of businesses and accommodation in the near future. If that includes you, stay tuned for an announcement soon.
As you can see from the latest tour, the place is falling into disrepair rapidly. This is why we are publishing the blog now, as soon, there may be nothing left to see.
It would be great if something could be made of this building still (the steam room is to die for!), but I fear it may not be possible. The final link in the ones that follow needs translating, but I will leave you with the closing paragraphs.

What is happening today with the Temple of Aphrodite?
In a communication we had with the community leader of Palodia, Mr. Pambos Zorpas, he informed us how the case of the Temple of Aphrodite is now in the hands of the Council for the Study of Deviations *, which is examining the data.
"It simply came to our notice then. What we do know is that we have put forward our proposals for how we, as a community, want to use the space, within the set time limits set by the Council, and look forward to convening a public consultation to discuss the future of the building. However, we are still waiting, without having anything new from somewhere and it does not seem that anything will change soon ".
The plot, according to the mayor, is located in agricultural land and the volume of the building is much larger than the one allowed by the legislation, so its presence there is illegal from the beginning , while it does not even have operating licenses.
In an effort to reach out to someone in charge of the Deviation Study Council, we have not yet been able to find an available person to give us information about this case.
* The Council for the Study of Deviations was established in March 2000, and has been established as an Adviser to the Council of Ministers to study, evaluate and submit to it, substantiated suggestions regarding applications for the issuance of urban development permits by way of derogation.

Pantheon Hall - Part 1
We've always loved urban exploring - visiting abandoned old buildings - and Cyprus has more than its fair share, from old hotels to forgotten hospitals for disused mines. When we discovered the place we are about to show you though, we really hit the Urbex Jackpot. This place is amazing, and has a remarkably colourful past as well.
Return to The Abandoned Ranch
The other day we saw an article about a mysterious church that had appeared in the Kouris Reservoir because of the low water level. When we got there it turned out to be a case of bad journalism. However, as we were in the area, we decided to revisit the abandoned Rancho Appaloosa, to see how much it had changed since we first found the place, in 2016.Good Pages To Visit
