Old Paramali - Aphrodite meets Call of Duty
One Final Frame

Old Paramali is a great place to visit. No doubt at times, the British Army still play war games here, so be prepared to change your plans if you should arrive and find yourself surrounded by soldiers. And if you see a red flag flying, steer well away. I don't think they fire live ammunition here and I doubt very much that they do. However, I am not 100% certain, so err on the side of caution.

Old Gardens

Before we leave, let's check out some of the flora. This garden must have looked quite spectacular when it was looked after.
Cuckoo Pint

This is an unusual sight, to me at least. You don't often see this much Cuckoo Pint growing in one place. It is a lovely sight, and since taking this picture I have seen a few more examples out in the wild, so perhaps the plant appreciated all the rain we had?
Distant Farm

There was a farm on the other side of the village. I wander what they make of all the army activities? Another puzzle is the road. We followed it further up the valley, and it eventually leads to a new golfing resort that is in the first stage of development. This would explain why the road is so good and wide. I wonder what will become of Paramali once the resort is complete though? I doubt the army will be able to have practice battles across what would be a fairly busy road at times...
One Last Look

So there you have it. I loved looking around this village, and it brought back a lot of childhood memories as well as some more recent memories from my COD playing days. But if that isn't your thing, then there is still the church to entertain you. It is well worth a visit.

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia.
