We are now on one of the main shopping streets in Old Pafos. We shall be crossing it and heading towards the Old Post Office, as this area hasn't changed much in the last year. The trees are getting a bit more established though, and beginning to provide some much needed shade.

New Nero

To the right of this shot is a mural that advertises a barbers. In the foreground, you can see the new Caffe Nero. This is proving very popular, and they have made a lot of effort in making it look spectacular.

Girl With A Sparrow

See what I mean? It blends in nicely with the surroundings and ensures the little girl has plenty of visitors.

What's more, you can now easily access the coffee shop, and the rest of Old Pafos, via this handy lift. So you can park down below without having to climb up that steep hill.

Turkish Baths

This is a nice view showing both the Turkish Baths and the "History of Pafos" walkway behind it. The restaurants in the background all serve nice food as well. Oh and to the left of this shot is the bus stop. So if you have been dropped off by the bus and are wondering how to get here, just turn right.

Old Town Cementography

You could be forgiven for not knowing anything about Cementography. It is a modern, Cypriot art form, that was celebrated in the dying days of Paphos 2017 by the placement of eight murals in and around Paphos Old Town. You may well have seen some of them on your travels, and some have featured in previous blogs. However, the murals actually depict different stages in a Cypriot fairy tale, so we thought it about time we presented the murals in order, with the accompanying story attached...

Paphos Murals

If you take a wander around the streets of Paphos, both old and new, you will occasionally stumble upon some random art installations. The patchwork tree is one such example, but there are other exhibits too numerous to mention here. Today, we are going to have a look at a subset of these works, and examine some of the murals you will find. Most of them are situated in a small area to the west of Kennedy Square. However, there are a few others scattered around, so it pays to explore...
