Spot The Ball

I had remembered to bring my crystal ball with me, so was able to do some nice ball shots.

On The Road

Our destination is the other end of the dam, where St Nicolas Church lies, standing in its new-found dry surrounds.

View From Above

Had we a drone, we would show you a high-in-the-air shot of the church. But my drone went for a burton in our swimming pool last year, so instead we drove up this hill. That white dot in the water near the beach in the centre left of the picture is its spire.

Last Year

This was the view last year, and indeed, most years. The church is normally far from the water's edge. Did we say we had had a lot of rain over the winter?

Return to The Abandoned Ranch

The other day we saw an article about a mysterious church that had appeared in the Kouris Reservoir because of the low water level. When we got there it turned out to be a case of bad journalism. However, as we were in the area, we decided to revisit the abandoned Rancho Appaloosa, to see how much it had changed since we first found the place, in 2016.
