Hidden Coves
At the foot of the cliffs there are a number of hidden coves. If you can make your way down you will have a secret bathing area, though you will be highly visible from above, so keep your kit on!
Spongy Surface
Be warned though, that flotsam and jetsam from the sea will also be washed up. Also, there will be a ton of seaweed. On the plus side, it was very spongy, so if you had a decent rug you would be very comfy.
Up The Hill
Anyway, let's continue along the path to the top of the cliff.
New Feature
At the top of the hill was an open space with a safety railing, or so I thought. Well, it certainly was a safety railing, as there was a cliff behind it. However, the railing served another purpose.
Lock Your Love
The sign reads as follows:
KISSONERGA COASTAL PROMENADE
VIEW POINT
"LOCK YOUR LOVE"
The railing is separated in months. Lock your love by placing a padlock on the month that is most significant to you, so you can find it on your next visit.

The Kissonerga Coast Path first opened a couple of years ago. I visited it at the time, but it has since been extended at either end. So I recently returned for another look. It is the perfect place for a walk after a meal at one of the nearby taverns, with spectacular views and a nice bar at the end. So let's check it out.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
