And the Harbour looks delightful too. But enough on them. Let's get back to the car park.

No Right Turn

After you have driven along the sea front, note that there is no right turn. Instead, carry on towards the harbour and take the first right. The road then goes through the old carpark and loops around the new one, depositing you at the roundabout where where we were a few pictures ago. You used to have to drive down to the Archaeological Park Roundabout and double back on yourself. This is no longer the case.

During the summer evenings you will often see Taxi Drivers sat on benches here playing Tavli. This game is very popular in Cyprus, and is very similar to Backgammon. There are three differences. First, the winner of the opening roll rerolls for their first turn. Second, you get one point for a win and two points for a gammon. There is no backgammon. Finally, there is no doubling dice.

Personally, I find Backgammon becomes a completely different game when you use the doubling dice, but when in Rome...

Bar Street Bonanza!

The sceond bit of renovation news comes from Bar Street, which will amaze a lot of you. You can see here that the abandoned nightclub next to Notorious has recently been boarded up and is much less of an eyesore.
