Kato Paphos Part 7 - The Coast Path
Hotel Annabelle
The Hotel Annabelle is the final hotel along the strip. After this we will arrive at the main Sea Front.
Towards the Sea Front
We are now looking at the Municipal Changing Rooms. Currently they are closed for renovations. There is a Lifeguard station to the left of this shot, you can just see.
The Municipal Beach
The Municipal Beach is more for swimmers than lovers of sandcastles. It is great for snorkelling and the chances of seeing a turtle during summer are pretty good.
Recycling Point
This is a fairly novel take on recycling. It is a great place to bring your empty plastic bottles. I'm not sure whether they want the lids or not though. There's a funny story about that, which I may or may not have already mentioned. A while ago it was fairly common to see containers full of the lids of bottles. They were at schools and kiosks. It was similar to the tin foil that used to be collected in schools when I was growing up. Presumably they were recycled. What is funny, is that recently in the news, there was a report about a couple of houses which had been found completely full of these plastic bottle tops. They were somewhere near Larnaca, if memory serves me correctly. I wonder what the full story about that was?
Back To The Front
We shall bring Part 7 to a close now. We are finishing at the same place we finished Part 2. In the next part, we shall turn our attention to the area behind St Pauls, so stay tuned...
