Greek Mythology At Paphos Mall
There is a new Exhibition at Kings Avenue Mall in Paphos. Until October 20th you can see a variety of animatronics depicting various creatures of Greek Mythology, So lets take a look to see what there is to see.
Kings Avenue Mall

October 1st was Cyprus Independence Day. Somebody asked us if the Mall was open, as it was a Bank Holiday. I checked their website and sure enough it was business as usual. While I was perusing their pages, I noticed they also had an event running until October 20th, focusing on Greek Mythology. Naturally, we decided to take a look.
Entrance

Kings Avenue Mall is on two levels. The top level includes an eating area with a variety of restaurants and coffee shops. You can sit there and look across to the roundabout and Fabrica Hill.
Three Heads Are Better Than One

On entering the Mall you are greeted by a monstrous yapping dog.
Mr Muscles

It has a snake for a tail, too.
Information

All the exhibits have multilingual signs, so you know what you are looking at. This one is a general announcement though:
The myths of antiquity come alive through the most spectacular and fascinating monsters. Creatures with supernatural powers and unusual forms were born from human imagination to explain the unknown and give shape to both fears and dreams. Some-times guardians of sacred places, sometimes adveraries of heroes, the monsters of mythology symbolize humanity's struggle with nature, the unknown, and the limits of the seld. Their world remains, to this day, a source of inspiration, awe, and wonder.

We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
