Cyprus In Pictures - February 2023
Pachyammos Beach

Pachyammos Beach is nowhere near the town on the North Coast of Cyprus with which it shares its name.
It can be found behind the Louis Imperial Beach Hotel and is a great little beach for families with small children. A natural reef forms a pool where your nippers can paddle safely. There is also a Water Sports Centre here and it is right next door to a bigger municipal beach, complete with parking.

The Lurve Connection

February brought us Valentine's Day, so I thought it fitting to include a shot of the large heart they have on display near Baracas Lounge in Chloraka. There is also an over-sized chair here, so if you are looking for some ideas for your Instagram / Tinder / Saga profile, check them out.
Latchi Harbour

I actually took this shot just before dusk, but I included it in my Kalimera series anyway, as Latchi Harbour is such a beautiful place. It lies on the North Coast of Paphos, just West of Polis.
Paphos Municipal Baths

There were a fair amount of swimmers in the sea this winter. Ok, you can only see one in this picture, but other times we have seen quite a number. When we first moved here, I went swimming on New Year's Eve. It was quite cold but enjoyable enough. I am to acclimatised to Cypriot life now though.
Paphos Harbour

The renovations at Paphos Harbour came as a surprise to just about everybody. They are due to finish before Easter, I believe, though the Coast Path renovations will take longer.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
