Alexander The Great
This is one of the most popular locations in Paphos: Alexander The Great Hotel and the beautiful Vrysoudia B Beach. If you are wondering where the facilities are for the beach (showers etc) they are in the building on the right of the picture.

Looking at this shot, it looks like somebody has put a little putting green on the roof of one of the restaurants!
Coral Bay Harbour
Coral Beach Hotel and Resort lies between Corallia and Coral Bay Beach. There is a lovely little harbour next to it too.

One thing worth noting is that there are plenty of people on the beaches now. There has been a lot of nonsense in the British Press saying that Cyprus is empty at the moment. This is not the case. The Iran War effect lasted a few weeks back in March and April. Since then tourist numbers have been on the increase. Now, there may be an issue with the Summer Holiday months, as families who were booking holidays in March may well have been deterred. But from our investigations the hotels we have asked have mentioned occupancy rates of between 90 and 100%. You may still be able to pick up a bargain though.

If a lot of our pictures don't have many people in them, it is often because we deliberately avoid taking pictures at busy times for privacy issues. Some times it is unavoidable, such as on the swith-on of the Christmas Lights, but normally we opt for quieter times.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
