Cyprus in Pictures - October 2025
Lighthouse Beach
Surprisingly, Lighthouse Beach looked fairly orderly when I took this picture. It is normally more ramshackle than this, but no worse off for it. I love its laid-back charm. And yes, the BLT from the kiosk is fab.
Instagram Generation
I've been thinking a bit recently, of this Cyprus In Pictures format. Nice though it is, it misses some of the things that we have featured on our site in October. There is no reference to the cave I explored near Kallepeia, for instance. What I might do in the New Year is change the format so it is more of a monthly digest. I would still include the top 20 photographs, but also cover articles and films, to give you a better idea of what we have been up to. How does that sound?
Missing Fishermen
Mind you, a top 20 could be a bit contentious. Do I pick my Top 20, or a Top 20 based on likes and comments? I was fond of this picture I took at the Sea Front, but in terms of views and likes, it tanked.
Old Favourites
People always like to see the Keo Warehouse though.
Scrubs Up Well
I loved this picture too. The calm sees with the reflections of the clouds, coupled with the newly renovated area around Agios Georgios. A beautiful scene. The church area was inaugurated in October, and it was a lovely ceremony. Some people still managed to moan about it though, preferring a slowly collapsing dustbowl to any hint of modernity and renovation. Well I think it looks fantastic, and it will be even better when the museum opens.
