Cyprus in Pictures - October 2025
We post daily "Kalimera" and "Kalispera" pictures to Facebook on a topical theme. I thought it would be nice to give them greater exposure, so have combined them into a monthly article. The pictures here are now viewable in their original Landscape glory. So take a look at a selection of pictures we feel summarises how October has been in our corner of Cyprus.
Sense By The Beach
October saw the last vestiges of summer drift away, though the temperatures remained elevated.
Sunny Sea Front
Indeed, if you were to walk along the Sea Front you could have been forgiven for thinking it was September, or even August. In truth though, it was over 10 degrees cooler and much less humid.
Queen's Bay Hotel, Kissonerga
In October I explored some of the coast path again. I was curious what was happening between Sandy Bay and the main Kissonerga route you can see here. They have definitely done some more building, and the little bridge looks complete, but the route is not yet open.
That'll Do Nicely
Corallia Beach continued to deliver the goods. We were visited by family including a little girl in October, so I donned my Grandad T Shirt and spent a morning building sandcastles and an outdoor theatre for her. I noticed, when I was snorkelling around the rocks in the centre of the picture, that there were a lot of anenomes on them. They weren't on the artificial reef, just the natural rocks closer to shore. Do they sting? I always wear beach shoes when swimming, to protect my feet, and I wasn't going to touch one for the sake of journalistic integrity, but I would be interested to hear of any first-hand experiences, as there were certainly a lot of them.
Sea Front Money Shot
This view never seems to get old.
