Cyprus In Pictures - August 2024
Latchi Beach

Back to the North Coast, and on the other side of Latchi Harbour you will find Latchi Beach.

Vardas Beach

This little beach can be found between Sandy Beach and Kissonerga. We walk through it in our most recent blog article. To the left of it you will find the bridge they are building, and to the right there are some villas followed by the Banana Plantation.
Municipal Baths

The Municipal Baths are a popular swimming area on Paphos Sea Front. Most of the swimmers seem to launch themselves from the jetty by Bania Restaurant.
SODAP Beaches

The forefront shows Vrysoudia A Beach which is the big sister to Vrysoudia B.
When The Boat Comes In

Paphos Harbour doesn't look like this at the moment. There is a stage and seating area in front of it. This is because the Opera is coming to town, in the shape of "La Traviata". This runs on 6th and 7th of September. Tickets are available on Ticketmaster, though they are selling quickly. They cost between 50 and 70 euros, depending on their location. Liam and Noel please take note.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
