Cyprus In Pictures - May 2023
Back To The Seafront

At the time of writing (2nd June) the Seafront looks a tiny bit different from this view. The Kataklysmos Festival has arrived in Paphos, and for the next few days the walkway is lined with stalls. I shall publish an article on it tomorrow, and you can click the link to view our film of it.

Further Up The Coast Path

This was another scene from our Coast Path series. It is a beautiful walk.
Polis Campsite Beach

The beaches on the North Coast of Paphos have a different feel to their southern counterparts. They have recently won awards, primarily for the clean quality of the water. This is a trait common to the whole Paphos coast. More on this later though.
Fish Boy

Fish Boy is always a popular view.
Petratis Gorge

Here is another diversion from Paphos Sea Front. To highlight what I mean in terms of popularity, this scene got about one fifth of the likes that a standard Sea Front scene gets. But I had much more fun taking this, and the area is much more beautiful. It is up near Latsi, and in June I will publish a long film showing how I eventually made it down to the bottom of the gorge itself, and how beautiful it was when I got there. There will be a corresponding article too. If you like seeing content other than Paphos Sea Front and Harbour, please do take the time to view the features, and add the appropriate likes. The more likes I get for this sort of content, the more justification I have for making it. It took days of effort to put the articles together, and I had a whale of a time doing it. However, it is difficult justifying the effort if it isn't really what people want to see.

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
