Burger Bar
Rambo didn't seem to have any claim over the burger stall though. Actually I take that back. I zoomed in* to have a look at the prices and I noticed that the chef was wearing a Rambo Burger and Hot Dog sweatshirt. As to the pricses, it was €10 for a cheeseburger and chips. A hot dog was €6 and a burger on its own €8.
* the original pictures are a lot bigger than the ones shown in the blog. If I published the full-sized versions they would be massive and take a while to load. Because of this I can zoom in on areas for a closer look, which is very handy here.
Candy!
I was with Alex when I was having a walkabout. I am amazed she didn't buy and candyfloss, as she loves it. If you want some, it will set you back €4, as will the popcorn.
Mini Donuts
Alternatively, you can get fresh mini donuts at €5 a portion. The pictures show 10 donuts per portion so they would be great for sharing.

Cap St Georges Carnival 2026
On Valentine's Day the good people at Cap St Georges put on a carnival. Fortunately the recent rainy spell had come to an end, enabling the locals to come out and have a party as the parade trundled past. It was a great success, as our pictures will show you.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
