Cali Resort and Spa is a luxury 5 star hotel that is coming to the heart of Coral Bay in May. We showed you previously the plans, and are returning now for a quick progress report.

Since our last report there has been a lot of activity, both inside and out.
The New Pool
Given that it is an active building site and they are on a tight schedule, I didn't even attempt to seek permission to have a proper site tour. So I can only comment on exterior work using pictures taken from a safe distance with my drone.
On the final page of this article I include some pictures from the Cali Resort website, which show what it will look like when finished. You can see there how nice the pool area will be when complete.
At the moment, the site looks like a building site. Because guess what? That's exactly what it is.

The resort is being transformed into a thing of beauty. A 5 star luxury resort in the heart of Coral Bay will be very popular.

We often get asked about the abandoned Crown Resorts Horizon in Coral Bay. Recently the questions centred around a fixtures and fittings sale. Well it turns out that this was a prelude to a full renovation. The resort is due to re-open in May 2024, and will be rebranded as the Cali Resort and Spa. eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
