Overgrown

As you can see from this shot, the majority of the cemetery is completely overgrown.

This is clearly an old headstone though.

This stone dates back to 1964.

Graveside Lillies?

These lillies look they were originally planted on a grave and have spread wild over the years. I wonder what the place looks like when they are in bloom?

Dug Out

One thing that was odd, was that a fair number of the graves looked like they had been dug out. Perhaps the bodies had been moved when the Turkish Cypriots left the area? Or perhaps the headstones themselves had been moved, and the holes weren't actually holes. The raised areas to either side could be the actual graves?

Anadiou

According to the PRIO database, Anadiou, tucked away on the edge of Paphos Forest, near Kannaviou Reservoir, has been abandoned since 1974. Well, they forgot to pass the message on to Anadiou, because as you shall see, it is far from abandoned.
