Necropolis

I won't visit all of the caves in this article, as there are rather a lot of them. As you can see though, they are more than just caves. They are in fact ancient tombs.

Yes, this is a necropolis from the Ancient Roman / Greek times. They must have had fun carving that lot out. I imagine some of it was natural cave, but by no means all.

Arty Shot

Oh a word of warning should you go exploring soon. The floors of the cave are quite muddy at the moment. This is especially important when you consider you have to climb back up those steps in a bit.

I remember Max did some nice shots from within the caves looking out. So I thought I would pay homage and do a similar one.

The harbour itself isn't very big. It is adorned with a lovely mural.

This Way Up

This is the way back up to the carpark. As you can see, it is no place for muddy feet. Do walk up carefully, especially if you have been crawling around in the caves.
