A Year In Paphos
Green And Pleasant Land

In our final blog of our trip down memory lane, we take the track from Ayios Ioannis to Vretsia, through the lovely countryside. It does look pretty in the summer, with its golden-brown hues, but in winter it looks even nicer.
Not all of Cyprus is green and pleasant come winter though. As you shall see in the next film, in the Troodos, you can expect to get snow. There is an old saying that you can go skiing in the morning and swimming in the afternoon. This is true, though the water would be a bit too chilly for my acclimatised blood. The first year we moved here, I went swimming on New Years Eve. I don't tend to do that any more.Read The Blog

Troodos Winter Wonderland
We've also got time for a few of our favourite videos from 2019. The first one shows what the Troodos is like when it snows. Every year we go tobogganing and make a snowman or rabbit.
The Venetian Bridges In Winter
This was great fun to record. You will be amazed what these bridges have to put up with!
A Walk Around Old Town
The Old Town has undergone several years of renovations. Let's see how it looks now (well, in 2019, anyway).

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
