Polis Campsite Beach
Pill Box

Just off the coast, and half-submerged in the water, is an old Pill Box. There are another of these running along the coast here. Most are still intact, but not much fun to explore, as they clearly make handy toilets for the local fishermen. They are best admired from afar. Besides which, they are probably home to snakes.

Sandy Stretch

They have been doing some work to the area that runs adjacent to the campsite. I am not sure what exactly, but I think they have diverted the course of the river that runs through Polis and down to the sea here.
Up Coast

Now we are going to head a little bit up the coast, towards Limni Pier.
Strange Cabin

Not far from the main beach you will find this strange little cabin. It is next to where the river enters the sea. This is worth noting, as in previous years, this river entered the sea right next to the beach. On the next page you will see what I mean.
The first time I found this little cabin, I assumed I would be able to drive to it from land later. However, if you try you will find that the only access leads to the gardens of a group of villas.
Towards Limni Pier

I covered the countryside in this direction in a previous blog. If you recall I found a resort which was no longer open, and a football pitch in the middle of nowhere. I will include a link to that at the foot of this article.
