Polis Beaches Part 2
Pachyammos Village Beach
The road from Kato Pyrgos goes inland for a bit, then returns to the coast before it arrives at the village of Pachyammos. Just before you hit the village, turn right, to find this lovely spot. Please note that this is Pachyammos Village Beach, and is not to be confused with either of the Pachyammos Beaches in Paphos City.
Acres Of Space
This beach is huge. You won't find any kiosks here, or showers. However, the portaloos you can see are very well maintained and work well. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened one to see what it was like inside.
There is also something special hidden away by this beach. In the dirance, you may just be able to see a building, on the left. This is a tiny little church, that is situated in the corner of a small graveyard. Go up to it and have a look inside.
Here's The Church
From the outside, there is not a lot to see. But go in...
Beautiful
This doesn't do the church justice at all. Take a look at the virtual tour below, and see what it really looks like. The village of Pachyammos has a much larger church, and that is even more impressive. I wonder if the artists used this church to practice on before attempting that one?

Pomos is quite a trip from Paphos, but it is most definitely worth it. We were up that way to visit some abandoned villages and overflowing reservoirs this week, but stopped to take in the coast along the way. The countryside up there is breathtaking, and well worth a visit. Here's a short selection of what to expect.Good Pages To Visit
