Geroskipou Beach Area
Sea View

We've lived in Cyprus for 7 years now, and in that time I have heard several reports of the impending demise of Riccos Beach Bar. Yet it is still here, and still packing them in. The chickens are still here too!

Bits of it have been modernised, but it still manages to maintain its charm.
Chill Zone

In the last few years some more Beach Bars have sprung up further down the bay. They are both very nice, but very different to Riccos. So be sure to try all of them!
Moving On

So let's continue up the beach and investigate further. The sun shades will inform you, if you weren't aware, that you are in Geroskipou now, which is distinct from Paphos City. There are big plans for Geroskipou in future, including Business Parks and Universities. Indeed, if you should drive through some of the fields, and be a bit perplexed by the high quality of the highways (there are several new roads), then that, I think, is why. Rather sensibly, they are improving the infrastructure before constructing the new buildings.
Riccos Bar From The Road

Oh, before we go any further I should point out where Geroskipou Beach is. Basically it is at the Eastern end of the Hotel Strip. If you follow the road past all the hotels, it eventually turns inland. Almost immediately you hit a roundabout. Take the second turn here and you will soon be on this road.
