Looking back down you can see the various chambers, and above them was where I stood to get the "Toumpallos From Above" picture a couple of pages ago.

It goes without saying that Toumpallos is not wheelchair friendly. However, you can get quite close to it on a decent path and you've still got the Basilicas to look at, so if you are wheelchair-bound, don't be too disheartened.

More Modern Ruins

I might be wrong but I think, from what I read online, that these ruins are separate from Toumpallos, despite being right next to them. What I mean is, they were built 100s of years afterwards.

I wonder if the ancient builders were fans of archaeology themselves? You often find evidence that they were keen recyclers. Quite a few Medieval churches you see around Cyprus have bits of Hellenic and Roman buildings incorporated into the walls.

Let's Go To The Odeon

Having visited Toumpallos we are now back on the main track. Even here though, you can see signs of more excavations in evidence.

Between Toumpallos and the Odeon are a lot of fields, just full of ruins waiting to be discovered.
