Kato and Pano Kivides

I did manage to walk along some walls to get close to the old farm.

I wonder what this place was like 60 years ago?
Intact Doors!

This building was obviously built of stronger stuff than the others we saw. It still had its doors and part of its roof attached, though they were showing signs of age, and in desperate need of a coat of varnish.
One Final Look

We shall return to the area at a later date, for some more exploration. I will look forward to that, as the area is very pretty and there are many interesting things to see along the route. for instance, you could go cross country (as we did) from Pissouri to Para Mali, to the abandoned village there, on to Max's grotesque mural church, and finally arrive at Kivides. On the way back you could go through Dora, Archimandrita and Souskiou.
That's a day of adventure just waiting for you!

And then, no sooner had they emptied, some of the abandoned buildings were repopulated. Were villagers returning, or had outsiders moved in, prepared to take the risk of landslide?
