Unkempt Shrubs

It's kind of eerie wandering around a hotel like this. I had the place to myself but it wasn't in ruins.

No Towels

I would imagine a year or two ago that most of those balconies would have had towels hanging over them.

It became apparent though, as I walked around the carpark, that I wasn't as alone as I had previously thought.

Cats

I had had the feeling of being watched, because I was indeed being watched. Nobody had told the hotel cats that the place was closed and here they were.

Rather than keep you in suspense, I will say straight away that somebody is feeding them on a regular basis.

Why?

Return to The Abandoned Ranch

The other day we saw an article about a mysterious church that had appeared in the Kouris Reservoir because of the low water level. When we got there it turned out to be a case of bad journalism. However, as we were in the area, we decided to revisit the abandoned Rancho Appaloosa, to see how much it had changed since we first found the place, in 2016.

We were out exploring in the Akamas the other day, and we came across this lovely old Olive Tree. I can't help wondering how long it has stood here...
