Paphos Sea Front Gales
Kalimera from Paphos!
I took more shots than you see here, and some of them will become Kalimera shots on our Facebook page. I try to have a mix of Sea Front and pictures from the rest of Paphos. The Sea Front shots are usually the most popular, because people like seeing pictures of places they have fond memories of. But it is nice to have variety.
Sea Wall
We are approaching the Harbour now, and the sea wall is still present here. You will notice, however, that the storm sill managed to offload lots of seaweed. So the wall would have to be higher to prevent this.
How high would be unacceptable?
As I approached the harbour I could see a road sweeper out trying to clean up the seaweed. Fair play to the man!
Open Doors
The Archaeological Park was still open though, and this is the best time to visit if you want to see the outdoor mosaics in all their glory.

Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
