The Pomos Coast
Hardy Perennials

Next to the funny rings were these odd-looking shrubs. I have to say they aren't very photogenic though. In the flesh they looked a lot more interesting. Mind you, looking at them, you have to give them credit for being able to survive at all in what must be fairly unwelcome conditions. On stormy days they must get drenched in sea water, and then they will have to survive long periods of drought. David Attenborough could get a good 5 minutes out of them in one of his documentaries.

On The Beach

The beach at the cape is fairly sandy. You could easily knock out a castle or two had you the inclination. As demonstrated previously, sand-skulpting is also a possiblity, as the bay gets a nice view from above.
The Other Pill Box

The second pill box was a bit more of a permanent structure, so perhaps it had a purpose prior to its military use?
Exploring The Rocks

There are lots of interesting crystals in the rocks around here. You can see the odd vein on the rocks to the right.
Competition Time

Now, what is unusual about this picture? There is something here that only the eagle-eyed will spot.
