The Sea Caves
Man Vs Nature

I wonder what made those holes in the rock. I imagine people were mining for clay or something similar at some point in the past. You can see at the top of the picture just how close the new complex is to the cliffs.
Anyway, as we have reached Cap St George, it is time to turn round and retrace our steps. I want to see that balanced rock up close.

Not This Way

On the way back, I thought I could go down here to get to the rock.
Cliff Hanger

Unfortunately, if you try that, you soon find yourself perched atop a small cliff. So retrace your steps and go back to the car park.
Car Park View

So instead I have returned to the carpark next to the villas. If you recall there is a path from there to the beach.
This Way

Be careful as you make your way down. It is fairly easy going but there are quite a few loose rocks about.

Agios Georgios Harbour
Given that Cyprus is an island, there are surprisingly few harbours on its coastline. One such can be found at Agios Georgios, on the edge of the Akamas. And as well as the harbour, there are also some ancient caves and an Archaeological Park, so it is well worth a visit, as you shall see...

eBookCyprus Road Trip 01: the Kathikas - Panagia Loop
Let me take you on a journey around the region of Paphos, Cyprus. Starting at Paphos itself, we travel to Akoursos, then Kathikas, Kritou Terra and Simou. We continue past Lasa and Kannaviou, before taking in the delights of Panagia. Getting a bit more adventurous, we visit the abandoned villages of Statos and Agios Fotios, before passing through Choulou, Letymbou and Polemi, and rejoining the main Paphos - Polis road.
The route is suitable for all types of vehicle, and requires no off-roading. The guide contains about 130 photographs including shots of all the road signs you need to pay attention to, as well as some of the highlights you may experience along the way.
There are also several maps which will help you keep your bearings.
You can do this journey in a day, or you can break it up into chunks. You can also do it in reverse, to get some completely different views. It is entirely up to you.
